Update 1/18/2020: How are your pieces coming along? Just two weeks to go!
Happy January! It's a brand new year, and it's time for a brand new creativity challenge.

- Wait, That's Not Right Badge: After completing your first piece, do one as a human or humanoid character design.
- Assemble The Team Badge: After completing your first piece, assemble a superhero team from your favorite names.
Brainstorming questions:
You don't have to answer all (or any) or these. But if you're stuck, here are some questions to get the ideas moving: - Where does your creature or plant live? What sort of environment, location, elevation, habitat, etc. Does it migrate or stay in the same place? If it migrates, what causes the migration?
- What does it eat and drink? How does it consume sustenance? How often?
- How long does it live? How long is its childhood? Does it look different or same at different stages of its life?
- Is it a social creature, or a loner? How does that impact its adaptations and behaviors?
- Does it have predators? What is the biggest risk or danger it faces? How does it adapt or deal with this?
Here are some cool pieces from around deviantART to inspire you!
Hints & Rules:
- Spend some time brainstorming. The more ideas you sketch before settling on your final idea, the better.
- Make it as complex or simple as you'd like. Your picture can be polished, or a sketch.
- Pick a creature you don't know. It's no fun if you know what it is. (Only exception is if you're doing all 20.)
- Use different sources of inspiration. Landscapes, machines, dinosaurs, flowers, plants, fish, mushrooms, space...anything is up for grabs.
- You can join at any time this month and play as many times as you want.
- Deadline to submit your pieces is the end of January.
- Have fun!
