How's July treating you?
- It's been a great couple months for the group. We officially celebrate having more than 6,000+ members. Nice. You guys make this group what it is.
- If you missed the May and June challenges, there's still time to stretch your art muscles with July's life study challenge. Each week, a new mini-challenge is added to the list. This week, it was all about "hands." Next week? Check it out to find out.
- Speaking of challenges, do you have a fun idea for a challenge? This can be a challenge idea, or a topic you'd like to see in the future. Send it in as a note or a comment and we might use it in one of our month challenge!
- Club announcement: After a lot of discussion and input from some of our regular correctors, we will be officially merging the Manga and Cartoon "Correct me" sister folders into one. There has been significant overlap (and confusion) surrounding the two. That, and now all of the gallery folders will show up on the front gallery page, including the well-loved but often-overlooked 'Other' gallery. Happy correcting!
- As always, items that are more than a year old are regularly culled from the "Correct me" folder. If your piece is removed, but you would still like some feedback, don't hesitate to resubmit!
For new and old members alike, here's a list of things you can do at Improvement-Club
- Check out the "Correct me" folders in the group gallery.
- Do a correction or redline. All members can correct and provide feedback for any art in the "correct me" folders.
- Submit your own art for a correction or redline. (Just read the submission rules first!)
- Join one of our monthly challenges.
- Check out the resources and links on our front page. Suggest new ones.
- Submit a "Before & After" type meme to our gallery. We love to see improvement.

Even if you don't think you're a pro in art, click anyway. Some of my best learning experiences were when I gave feedback to others. So weigh in. Oh, and you don't have to be an official "Corrector" of the group to submit redlines or corrections. The more the merrier. Get your helpfulness seen by our more than 6,000 members!

2019 Secret Santa
We're getting the ball rolling a little early this year to give you plenty of time to sign up and make your art. Sign up and you will be randomly assigned to create a secret gift for someone (and secretly assigned to get a gift from someone!). Everyone will get a gift made especially for them by their Secret Santa the last week of December.

It doesn't matter if you're an experienced artist or just starting out - everyone is invited to join the fun!

Nov 29 Update: Just a couple days left! How's your final piece coming along?
Happy November! It's time for another monthly challenge.
This month will be about the ways we improve our art.
First: everyone will decide what they want to draw: it can be a re-draw of something in your gallery, or something new from your imagination.
Then: For the first three weeks of November, you will do studies and practice fundamental that relate to your piece.
Finally: In the last week of November, you will draw the piece...and see how your skills have improved!
