First of all Hello and Welcome to our Group. Here are some simple explanation and Rules that should be followed.
New Rules are marked with an orange bullet :bulletorange: Refreshed: 27.06.2012

General Etiquette Rules

:bulletgreen: Do not advertise on the front page. This includes group promotion as well as announcing commission status or contests. Also, don't beg/ask for points on our front page.
:bulletgreen: When you have questions, please send a note to the group, not the admins individually.
:bulletgreen: Do not ask why your image hasn't been corrected or how long it will take. We simply don't know, nor do we have any control over what people choose to correct.
:bulletgreen: Do not complain that images submitted after yours are getting corrected and yours aren't.
:bulletgreen: Don't take it personally if you ask to be a corrector and are denied. You can still do corrections as a normal member.
:bulletgreen: To any MEMBERS wanting to leave the group: please remove all your 'Correct Me' submissions. You can do this by going to the 'edit deviation' page for the submission.
:bulletgreen: To any CORRECTOR wanting to leave the group: please send us a note so we can remove you from the correctors blog and remove any of your 'Correct Me' submissions. You can do this by going to the 'edit deviation' page for the submission.
:bulletgreen: To any CORRECTOR/ADMIN who is leaving dA or moving accounts: Please send us a note so we can remove the old/deactivated account from the group so we don't waste admin positions an inactive accounts.

Submission-Rules

If you submit a drawing you want to be corrected, submit it to one of the Correct-Me-Folders. Have a look at your deviation and make sure, it follows these Guidelines:
:bulletgreen: You have to add a short note about what exactly you want to have corrected in your deviation. Do this by writing this in your artist's comment under the deviation: to :iconimprovement-club:: what you would like to have corrected. For example you can write what you had most difficulties with, or what you like least on your drawing, so the correctors have some ideas how to correct your drawing. Deviations without that kind of comment won't be accepted!
:bulletgreen: The Picture of your drawing should be in a good quality, meaning not too small, not pixeled (unless it's Pixel-Art) and not blurred
:bulletgreen: The best would be if your drawing got scanned
:bulletgreen: If not, make sure to take the photo in a well-lit room, not too brightly intense or dimly lit.
:bulletgreen: Lay the picture down on a flat surface such as a table or tape it to the wall. Holding it up in midair will distort the image and said method will not be accepted.
:bulletgreen: Try to refrain using a camera phone or webcam for images, because they can come out too small.
:bulletgreen: By submitting your art to the Correct-Me-Folders you give the permission to our Members and Correctors to overpaint or redraw your artwork (they'll give credit of course).
:bulletgreen: You may NOT submit another artist's work to a Correct-Me folder.
:bulletgreen: This also counts for traces, copies (redrawing a picture) and colored linearts (e.g. a friend did a lineart and you do the coloring)
:bulletgreen: It is okay to use photo-references for the pose
:bulletgreen: We have a limit of 2 Deviations per month to the Correct-Me-Folders for Members and 3 Deviations per month for Contributors

Correctors (our little gods)

Any Member who is improved enough in doing art, to show beginners how it is done, is welcome to ask us for becoming a Corrector. Correctors do corrections. We recommend to do 3-4 Corrections per month. The minimum is 1. If you have to take a break for one or two months due to private issues, it's okay. Just send ~Dark-Zeblock or *Zedna7 a quick message.

:bulletgreen: You can choose any drawing from the Correct-Me-Folders to correct.
:bulletgreen: Browse the Folders from the back, so the oldest drawings get corrected first
:bulletgreen: Have a look at our Correction Guidelines
:bulletgreen: You're still free to find your own way of doing Corrections or look at our Corrected-Drawings-Folders for inspiration
:bulletgreen: By clicking on "Admin-Area" at the top. You'll find a Blog-Entry titled with "Reservations". You may reserve a drawing, there by editing the blog. So there won't be double corrections
:bulletgreen: After submitting a Correction, remove the original drawing from the Correct-Me-Folder to the Archive-Folder
:bulletgreen: Also remember to tell the original artist, that you corrected their work, so they can give some feedback.
:bulletgreen: Give the original artist credit in your artist's comment!
:bulletgreen: Please try to refrain from giving written critique. The Improvement-Club is special, because it visually shows people their mistakes.
:bulletgreen: Every active Corrector gets a Feature in our Group Journals.
:bulletgreen: Do not hesitate only because your English is bad. Corrections should be visually anyway. The only thing you have to write may be some notes to make your correction easier to understand for others.

Furthermore you have access to the Admin Area. There's a Blog only visible for Correctors and Admins. They'll be a new Blog-Entry where you can send me a Link with your chosen Corrections in the Comment every month. This way we can prevent that more Correctors to the same correction at the same time.

Folders

Tutorials
when you created a helpful tutorial. Tutorials give some common advices of how you can draw something. Everyone loves Tutorials

Before - After
This is the right place to show us your improvement! When you've done a before-after-comparison you can submit it to this folder.

Archive-Folder
Corrected Drawings will be moved from the "Correct Me"-Folder to the "Archive"-Folder to keep our Correct Me as clearly arranged as possible. This way, drawings won't get corrected twice.

Featured-Folder
You can't submit drawings to this folder, because it's not in use. Unfortunately DA doesn't allow me to remove it, so it's just there, but for no reason.

Photography and Photomanipulations
We do not accept Photography and Photo-manipulations. This Groups is exclusively dedicated to drawn and painted art. I'm sorry about this, but we had long discussions about this. These are our reasons:
:bulletgreen: Our correctors are no photographers
:bulletgreen: Photographs are difficult to correct. Thing you can correct are lighting and composition, which is difficult to show by redlining or redrawing
:bulletgreen: redlining and redrawing are our basic tools to critique.

Hi, just pointing out that it reads "ONE (2) A MONTH" under the Folders>correct me section. Shouldn't it read "one (1) a month" or "two (2) a month"?

These rules are too confusing for my stupid brain. I haven't asked for anything to be corrected, so I'll leave.

Question! Would submitting from an alt account be permissible? If I want critique on a WIP that also happens to be a gift for somebody who watches me, getting crits is kind of hard. DX

Basically this is okay, but you have to be a member with this account as well. Only members are allowed to submit to the correct me folders.

I have a question about the 1 sub a month rule.
Is that 1 subission every 30-day period, or just every 'month'. (For example, if you submitted something right at the end of the month, then you could submit again a few days later in the new month). Just curious how that rule works.

(This is more for future reference. I'm not planning on spamming you guys with submissions or anything xD)
